Yesterday's blizzard from inside Snowbasin's majestic John Paul Lodge up at 8,335 feet altitude. Unfortunately, the blizzard only lasted about 45 minutes and dropped only 3 or 4 inches of fresh pow.
Snowbasin's legacy from the 2002 Olympics is 3 huge, gorgeous day lodges (Needles, John Paul, Earl's) even though there are no on-mountain accomodations and (for the most part) only locals ski here.
Supposedly on-mountain development is coming, but we've been hearing that since about 1994.
